I have a lot of respect for Crafters, and anyone who does time eating handcrafts, Now i have even more respect for quilters than i had already, mostly because i have not had much experience with quilting. Its like most crafts, it takes a long time with lots of hard work to do well.

sorry the vid from monday is faulty due to evil misbehaving webcam program which i dont know how to fix.

and i had a short 10min blog for today to upload before i when to bed, and i checked the vid before hand because a bunch of dear friends showed me the problem with the audio is the last video blog post
I'm sorry, but the audio works for about 6 secs before running away
so there is no vid post for today because, Im about to fall asleep and cant fix the problem, if it is a problem i can fix, at the moment.

Home is where the heart is

I've only been in chch for like 8 hours and i already miss wellington,
i miss my bed, my friends, i miss gabby and Alina
which is funny because when i leave chch for welly, im probly going to miss my chch friends really baddly as well,
WHY is it that i can move to wellington and not get really bad crying homesickness.
and Im in chch for like 8 hours and I'm crying and I DONT KNOW WHY!!
I hope my insides will go numb already so i can get on with my stuff.
I can look after myself, I did that for like 2 years before i moved.
and I KNOW I'm not the best at socialness stuff but moments like this, remind me that i still heavy crave human contact and interaction.

its a tiggeroo!

today was pretty fun, and kind of busy.
Alina came over in the morning and we feasted just a little bit on marchymellows
went checking for marks and printed out present and teddy tiger plan =^.^= mew
went back to cube and relaxed until lunch
went to lunch with alina, gabby and amy
spent some time in Arther toye looking at teddy tiger fabric, goldings looking at eyes
waiting for bus (first one didn't stop) to wellington sewing services
got three really nice large packing boxes from cosplay lady at sewing shop for gabby to pack her stuff in
got back, watched Americas next top model cycle 14 ep 6-7

found and set a page counter ^.^

The merits of little extras

I have come to really love metservice's little extra features, ^.^ I really love knowing how many layers to wear, you may think thats a bit weird but believe me wellington can turn SUPER EVIL in like 5secs flat.

one thing that was funny was playing with the new design templates feature in blogger, which you may thank for the new site design. But only for the base design :P I picked the colours and picture.

I would really love it if I could get everyone's thoughts and opinions on the new site, that way I can know that it looks okay to everyone else as well and that its not just me thinking it. (just in case)

Consequences of uncoordination

today seemed to be the day for uncoordination, as there were a whole bunch of trips, bruises, and bangs plus semi dropped pasta bake,

Getting to the Guts of the matter

I have been wanting to take apart a umbrella for years ^.^ the guts of an umbrella is really interesting, the method in which one works and construction of one is really very simple but ingenuous from my view but still makes me endlessly curious about what I can do with one :3
my antique Victorian parasol is still of my prize belongings which is why im taking apart umbrellas and not my parasol, as parasols are very rare and this way i get to teach myself how to make one one my own ^.^

It's torture gabby day :D

Today was a pretty blah day again, the only real highlights were probly getting to see alina and working on Chii's headdress :D
Gabby made a comment after the vid about how it was torture gabby day in reference to how heavy the headdress is to wear for long periods of time.

I have a vid blog for today but it is still being saved by windows movie maker because it is in 2 parts.
The vid blog, for your viewing pleasure will be showing the events of one very large adventure gabby and I went on.
I will do my best to post the 2 parts in the morning ^.^ because right now its 4:30 in the morning and my body is conspiring against me due to all the walking and dancing and the no sleepiness

My Voice brought back guests

I send my sorry's to everyone for not posting for the last few days, my voice went on holiday for a few days, so i had no voice to do a vid blog with and i know i could of just typed it. I thought it was a bit of a moot point, that and I was sick.
I'm happy that my voice is half back from holiday, what i'm not very happy about it's that it brought back guests, namely, cough and infection. Not fun house guests to have over.T.T

my voice seems to have gotten sick of me and my unwellness and has taken a short break from use, which is why there is no vid blog for today.
that and i sound like i'm dying,
so as nothing really happening today apart from the losing the voice part, i will be uploading my video for my art and design studio a final.
there are still lots of things i would like to do to it, as there are a few thing i'm not happy with.

Lost in the end

today was pretty laid back as days go apart from the rain and the wind
i really liked being able to play with a KoBo in whitcoulls, it makes a difference in what you look at and play with when you have it in your hands.
so far my only dislikes are the basic settings and no backlighting T.T
I really liked The End of lost, i've read online that some people dont like the ending but i really loved some of the scenes, jin and sun are so lovely together, aswell as clarie and charlie <3

Don't make me laugh

hi guys today was kind of nice just due to the getting some really nice sleep.
athough one thing that did happen is that sabra left forever at like 2-3ish for her plane to aust(holiday) and then boston (where she comes from) and we only found out like one day before that she was leaving leaving and everything.
i wanted to do a going away party but no we got told a day before and it was like just a passing comment as well >:(
gabby and i left a note on her door saying like sorry if we go to sleep and miss you before you leave but we just wanted to say bye and we are glad you liked NZ and hope you like aust as well,
i woke up that morning and was getting ready for my crits meeting at disably and i was really really sad/angily that she didn't leave a note saying bye. THERE WAS NO NOTE >:(

i will see about uploading my art and design studio final tomorrow ^.^

HELLO BED

i'm sorry but there will not be any vid posted tonight as both gabby and i are falling asleep where we stand. so we are both going to bed really early tonight.

I will hopefully post the whole or most of the last few days events when i have had enough sleep to be able to sit in front of the webcam and not fall asleep in the middle of recording.

Work or Sleep?

I hope every one else is getting enough sleep in these tired times.
i'm pretty sure i'm not getting enough, so it is my hope to go bed earlier and hopefully get some more sleep which will probly still fail but at least i will be warm and semi-rested.

For those of you who haven't seen an episode of stargate you probably won't get the reference in the title, :)
The original Stargate movie Stargate: children of the gods that the tv series is based on. Was the very first science fiction movie I watched when I was little, :D It will always have a special place in my heart.
I love being a Geek, Nerd and Otaku and I don't care what anyone says, it is and always will be one of my passions.
Although Gabby doesn't care for sci-fi shows there are still so many shows we both enjoy watching together, so we are both looking forward to the rest of castle season 2 and the upcoming true blood season 2 (which i both highly recommend and stargate :D)

Todays post ended up beginning a carry on from yesterday, mostly from talking bra size and fittings and mainly gabby's sugar drugs, they are some strong sugar drugs.

If anyone has questions about bras, how to fit bras, and stuff like padding, push-up

Technology is a cruel mistress

For those of you who are wondering if there is going to be a blog post, the answer is Yes there is but blogger being the place it is and my webcam not having a an active time display, my video blog post for today is too big as its over 100MB.
I will be posting it in two parts later in the afternoon when windows movie maker finishes saving the two pieces,

ok i have now found out how to have a timer, ether that or set a timer but its a timestamp that is part of the video, which just means it wont work so well with being edited

[Edit] I REALLY REALLY dislike movie maker as it is not easy to understand.
I now have the video post but its like 28min long and movie maker didn't split it up like I asked >:(

The forecast for today is rain and timetables

Today has been a cold, wet day, it has been raining every day since last Friday, though there has been very little wind so it's been nice to be able to use an umbrella and not have it break the second you walk outside. Most people don't use umbrellas when it rains here because sometimes the wind is too unpredictable.
I have got to one thousand words in my crit. studies essay. I still have 500-800 to go, but i'm still happy i've gotten to a thousand. It may seem a bit weird to be writing an essay on how Lara Croft and Orlan are characteristic of being postmodern in style, content and context but i like it. It's easier to write about than to explain the distinction made between sex, gender and sexuality. It is easy to write about but not when the question is vague and the readings don't help at all.
'Readings' is uni speck for chapters of books we are given to read for independent study which is uni for lots and lots of homework. T.T We also have to reference the readings in our essays, and all referencing MUST be APA Referencing T.T I just want to go to sleep for a very long time T.T That and gabby gets lost really really easily :P

its Awesome not allsome

This post was going to be about how my day was but ended up starting off with Gabby's (who's rants are never mini) rant about awesome vs. allsome. Then just ended up being a chat about the evening, and the various things that happened. It was an interesting day, we drew proper fashion flats in fashion, body and form where we had to draw all the layers (except for underwear) of our pair/partner with two templates, one for fitted garments and one for set-in sleeves. I just had to have the only girl in the class with a raglen shoulder.

And she had my

t-shirt
jacket -- my jacket was really hard for her because of all the details
short half circle skirt
one of my pettiskirts --she really, really hated my pettiskirt because she had to draw all the ruffles and all the gathering in the tiers and darts.

Then we had to do the same for one of our designs, so it would make us work out the design features of the garments.

And i still had art and design studio an hour after that.
It's 12:30 and i really, really must be getting to bed, i will post more soon.
